A Day in a Year in a Life / Day 283

10/October/2015, Day 283.  Saturday.

Due to "The King's" recent crazy antics, we didn't sleep well last night.

The day started off poorly, with Grump being grumpy, and badgering Sweetie to "get a job" to pay for whatever latest damage "The King" caused.  But by early afternoon we accomplished something; we took both cars in to the dealer, and had a nail removed from a tire from each.  Both cars had tires with a slow leak, cause by the nails, no doubt.

After that excitement we had lunch, which was fried egg with a dried fish and mung bean stew.  It was all actually pretty good, if you don't mind eating little fish heads.

Lest you think filipino food is always "challenging", here are some pics of pastries the wonderful baker Joyce brought us earlier in the week:

These are as Delicious as They Look!

Yum!
To celebrate Grump lasting four long, difficult years at his miserable job, Sweetie took him to his favorite local restaurant, The Back Burner, which I am very pleased to say is as wonderful under the direction of its new chef as it was under Chef Losito.  Yes it is expensive, but not outrageously so, yet the food is outrageously good.  Highly recommended if you're ever passing through central Georgia!

A predictably wonderful meal was a wonderful way to end a day that stared off shakily, but ended quite well.  Goodnight all!
